Jaguar Land Rover, Castle Bromwich Capacity Uplift
MSL have provided technical, commercial and project management support to the main contractor in relation to the mechanical, electrical and public health engineering services for this project, which comprises two large industrial buildings: (i) Integrated Logistics Centre and (ii) Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems. These buildings are currently under construction as part of Jaguar Land Rover’s expansion plans to increase their manufacturing capability in the West Midlands.
In the early stages of the project MSL provided technical expertise to assist with developing value engineering and technical proposals incorporated into the scheme, provided cost advice, managed the procurement of mechanical and electrical work packages and provided buildability and programme advice on this complex site interfacing with ongoing live manufacturing activities. MSL have also undertaken dynamic thermal simulations to evaluate best value in terms of energy performance and related carbon emissions in support of building regulations, planning and BREEAM objectives.
